Dennis Wierzbicki-US PRESSWIRE

Brandon Pettigrew racked up seven catches for 74 yards against the Seahawks in Week 8. We break down the fantasy implications.

Detroit Lions TE Brandon Pettigrew had another solid fantasy day in Week 8. Against the Seattle Seahawks, Pettigrew hauled in seven catches on nine targets, for 74 yards. He didn't find the endzone, but he did a fine job picking apart Seattle's vaunted secondary over the middle.

Pettigrew had his most yards since Week 1. He is now up to 38 catches for 374 yards and one TD on the season.

Fantasy Impact: With Nate Burleson lost for the season, Pettigrew is now Matthew Stafford's second-favorite target behind Calvin Johnson. He's a reliable fantasy play at TE and should continue putting up solid numbers.

Keep starting Pettigrew as a TE1 against the Jaguars in Week 9.
