Golden Tate caught seven passes for 64 yards in Week 8. We break down the fantasy implications.
Seattle Seahawks WR Golden Tate had a nice rebound game in Week 8. Against the Detroit Lions, Tate hauled in seven catches for 64 yards. More importantly, he caught all seven targets, a big boost after his crucial drops against the 49ers in Week 7.
Tate also caught a crucial 4th-and-2 to set up the team's game-leading TD later. They would later blow the lead and lose 28-24.
Fantasy Impact: It was a nice bounce-back after being blanked on the stat sheet last year, but Tate is still way too inconsistent to be counted on as a fantasy option.
Tate lives and dies with Seattle's passing offense, and there's no telling what week he will live. He's little more than a roster stash in most fantasy leagues.
