Rob Gronkowski goes off for fantasy owners in Week 8

Rob Gronkowski found the end zone twice on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Rob Gronkowski reaped the benefits of Aaron Hernandez's absence in Week 8. He caught eight passes for 146 yards and two touchdowns, leading the Patriots with 13 targets against the Rams.

Gronk has now scored four touchdowns in his last two games. Despite the crowded offense in New England, he remains a top receiving option for Tom Brady each week.

Fantasy Impact: It looks like Gronk is back to the ridiculous scoring machine we saw in 2011. Even with Hernandez coming back from injury, he shouldn't see any drop-off in production. Just look at last week's stats to verify.

The Patriots won't return to action until Week 10 when they face Buffalo. Gronk owned the Bills last year, catching 15 passes for 217 yards and four touchdowns in two games against them. His owners are in for even bigger things to come.
