Evan Habeeb-US PRESSWIRE
Wes Welker wasn't the go-to-guy for Tom Brady in Week 8. We break down the fantasy implications.
Wes Welker caught six passes for 48 yards against the Rams in London. Averaging just eight yards per reception, Welker couldn't quite break any big plays off, while Rob Gronkowski was tearing apart the St. Louis defense.
After finding the end zone in two straight games, Welker is now on a two-week scoring drought.
Fantasy Impact: This week Gronk was the one taking over in the receiving game. Welker received the second-most targets on the team, though, so it's not like he was phased out of the offensive game plan.
Welker is still a huge part of the Patriots offense, and it's only a matter of time until his catches another touchdown pass. He should have a good chance to do so when New England takes on Buffalo in Week 10.
