Drew Brees has a touchdown toss to Darren Sproles in early action from Denver.
New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees, who's Sunday night start could spell the difference in a few fantasy matchups in Week 8, has already collected a touchdown against the Denver Broncos defense.
Brees did throw an interception on a fourth-down conversion attempt, but his 95 yards in just over a quarter of play Sunday night has Brees producing early. Brees has completed only 50 percent of his passes, but completed his touchdown pass to running back Darren Sproles.
Comparably, Denver quarterback Peyton Manning has thrown for 134 yards and a touchdown, and is completing a higher percentage of his passes through the first 20-plus minutes of the game.
The Broncos are up a touchdown midway through the second quarter in the game from Denver's Mile High Stadium. The game was expected to be an offensive shootout, given the quarterbacks helming each offense. Thus far, points have been somewhat slow to appear, but both offenses have woken up in recent drives.
