Eli Manning's fantasy value takes a dip in Week 8 victory

Ronald Martinez

New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning had a down day in Week 8. We breakdown the fantasy implications.

New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning did not perform well versus the Dallas Cowboys in Week 8. The Giants QB has been hot this season, but cooled off in this NFC East division bout. Manning finished with under 200 yards passing, with 1 interception and no touchdowns.

Even though the Giants came away with the win, advancing to a 6-2 record, Manning has seen better days. This was not an elite day for the reigning Super Bowl champion.

Fantasy Analysis: The Giants defense was the MVP in this game. The G-Men accounted for one offensive touchdown on Sunday, with an Andre Brown rushing touchdown. While Manning spread the ball around, looking good at times, the team failed to put the game away early.

Manning has exploded for huge games a number of times in 2012. He has become a legitimate fantasy option in every league. Despite the rocky Week 8 outing, continue to start Manning week to week.
