Trent Richardson rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries during the Browns' win over the Chargers on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.
Trent Richardson rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries during the Cleveland Browns' win over the San Diego Chargers on Sunday. Richardson saw plenty of touches in wet and sloppy conditions, despite worries about his effectiveness due to a rib cartilage injury.
Richardson's output was the highest of the season, and by extension, of his career. He now has six total touchdowns on the year. Backup Montario Hardesty had just three carries for three yards in the game.
Fantasy Impact: Richardson had no problem putting up big numbers, making all of the fretting over his nagging chest injury look silly. The Browns gave Richardson near-exclusive carries, once again emphasizing the young running back's importance to the offense.
Richardson is safe to move back into your starting lineup on a regular basis. He will take on a reeling Baltimore Ravens squad next week. Baltimore has given up at least 181 total yards rushing in each of their last three games.
