Drew Brees went 22-for-42 passing for 213 yards, two touchdowns and one interception during the New Orleans Saints' loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday night. He found Darren Sproles on a 29-yard pass in the second quarter, and Jimmy Graham on an 18-yarder for his two scores.
Brees had thrown at least three touchdowns in four consecutive games prior to Sunday night. The outing was just his second game with under 300 yards passing this season.
Fantasy Impact: Brees' output was his worst of the season, so it's somewhat encouraging that a rock-bottom performance from the prolific passer is still OK by fantasy standards. He didn't lose anyone their fantasy matchup this week. Of course, he didn't win any, either.
Brees should still be a weekly fantasy starter going forward, though the schedule doesn't get much easier. The Saints host the Philadelphia Eagles' solid defense next week. Still, as long as the Saints defense is giving up a boatload of points, Brees will have to throw a lot to keep pace.
