Derick E. Hingle-US PRESSWIRE
Marques Colston had five receptions for 63 yards during the Saints' loss to the Broncos on Sunday Night Football. We break down the fantasy implications.
Marques Colston had five receptions for 63 yards off 10 targets during the New Orleans Saints' loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday Night Football. Colston led the Saints in targets, along with tight end Jimmy Graham, who also had five receptions for 63 yards but added a fourth-quarter touchdown.
Sunday's game was Colston's first without a touchdown since Week 3. He has now had at least 10 targets in four consecutive games. Colston has four touchdown receptions over that span.
Fantasy Impact: Colston's production was on the low end of what we have come to expect from him on roughly the same number of targets, so don't fret that he had a relatively quiet night. He is still a solid weekly starting fantasy wide receiver as the favorite target within a prolific passing attack.
Colston could struggle to get open against Nnamdi Asomugha, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and the Philadelphia Eagles next week, though he has performed well against good secondaries in the past. Don't get too spooked and trust that Colston will produce again.
