Philip Rivers fantasy struggles could be physical issue according to some league execs

Philip Rivers does not look like the same passer he used to be. We break down the fantasy implications.

The Chargers offensive woes continue as Philip Rivers is still struggling. He completed just 18 of 34 passes for 154 yards in Week 8, averaging a mere 4.5 yards per pass attempt.

Mike Silver of Yahoo! Sports says he's heard league executives and coaches express concern about Rivers' throwing arm, suggesting there might be some sort of physical issue at play.

Fantasy Impact: After throwing four interceptions and letting the Broncos comeback last week, Rivers and the Chargers offense managed to put up just six points on the board against the Browns this past Sunday. Weather was an issue in Cleveland, but it's clear we're not seeing the same fantasy stud from prior years.

Rivers will take on the Chiefs at home in Week 9. Even with a good matchup at this point, it's tough to feel confident about Rivers in your lineup with all the negative speculation surrounding him.
