DeMarco Murray could return for Week 9: Fantasy implications

Tim Heitman-US PRESSWIRE

Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray (foot) could return in Week 9. We break down the fantasy implications.

Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray could return in Week 9, according to team owner Jerry Jones. Murray has missed the last two games for Dallas with a sprained foot bur Jones said (via ESPNDallas.com) that he talked to Murray on Sunday and was "encouraged that he has a chance to be back."

Felix Jones finished Sunday's loss to the New York Giants with 19 yards on 13 carries and a fumble. Jones has started the last two games for Dallas, which faces the Atlanta Falcons in Week 9.

Fantasy Impact: Murray is needed by both the Dallas offense and by fantasy owners, especially the ones who have had to count on Jones the last two weeks. More should be known later in the week about Murray's status.

Jones hasn't done much to inspire a lot of confidence but Dallas might not have another choice if Murray can't play. Hold off until making a decision on either player until later.
