Calvin Johnson is trying to play through a knee injury, which may explain his slow start to the season. We break down the fantasy implications.
Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson may not be as healthy as the team is letting on. According to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, coach Jim Schwartz admitted that Johnson has been dealing with a knee injury in recent weeks, saying "He's plowing through. He didn't practice a few days last week. It's midseason in the NFL."
Megatron was held to just three catches for 46 yards in Week 8 against the Seahawks.
Fantasy Impact: He's been on and off the injury reports this season, and playing through the knee injury may explain his somewhat slow start, but when healthy he's one of the best fantasy WRs out there.
Expect Megatron to be on the injury reports again this week when practice starts, but fantasy owners should be patient. Keep starting him as a WR1 against the Jaguars in Week 9.
