Pierre Garcon may not come back until Week 11: Fantasy implications

Brad Mills-US PRESSWIRE

The Redskins may be forced to shut down Pierre Garcon until after their Week 10 bye. We break down the fantasy implications.

Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon (foot) may be shut down until after the team's Week 10 bye, reports Chris Russell. Garcon has sat out since Week 6 with a torn ligament on his toe. He's been dealing with the lingering injury all season as it has sapped his production, and he's also trying to avoid surgery.

Garcon has only eight catches for 153 yards and one TD.

Fantasy Impact: If the Redskins do shut him down until Week 11, that's at least three more weeks of him doing nothing for your fantasy team. Is he good enough to justify hanging on to for that long, especially with fantasy playoff races heating up?

I don't think so. Go ahead and cut your losses.
