Jared Allen missed practice, will he miss the Vikings play the Titans? We break down the fantasy implications.
Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen was absent from practice on Wednesday as he heals from a sore groin. Allen was stretching it out towards the end of Sunday's win over the Lions and it's likely that he's just going to take it easy this week so he can be good to go week 4 against the Titans.
Also out was wide receiver Michael Jenkins (rib), while quarterback Christian Ponder was limited with a knee injury. Linebacker Erin Henderson looks closer to return from a concussion.
Fantasy Take: Allen led the league in sacks last season with 22 and he is one of the top ends in real or fantasy football, though he only has two sacks in four games this year and is off to a slower start than usual. It could be a nice day for Allen in IDP leagues as Matt Hasselbeck will start over the injured Jake Locker, and last time I checked, Hasselbeck is old and immobile. He has been sacked three times in only 36 attempts compared to three for Locker in 106.
