New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz will practice this week despite a calf injury. We break down the fantasy implications.
New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz is dealing with a calf injury but will practice this week, according to coach Tom Coughlin. Cruz had just two catches for 23 yards in Sunday's win over the Dallas Cowboys.
Cruz has been the most valuable weapon in New York's passing game this season and has caught touchdown passes in five of eight games. The Giants face the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact: Cruz remains a top-end fantasy wide receiver and should be ready to play on Sunday, barring any setbacks. He didn't have a great game in Week 8 but there is no reason for fantasy owners to panic after last weekend's effort.
Hakeem Nicks is healthier and becoming a bigger part of the offense, but Cruz is firmly established as a must-start receiver in fantasy lineups.
