Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning practiced Wednesday with tape on his cracked right thumbnail. We break down the fantasy implications.

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning practiced Wednesday with tape on his cracked right thumbnail but his throws appeared to be unaffected. Manning hit his throwing hand on New Orleans defensive end Martez Wilson's helmet Sunday night.

Manning said earlier this week (via The Associated Press) that he was "probably a little bit lucky" that he only hit his thumbnail and not the knuckle on his right hand. Manning thew for 305 yards and three touchdowns in the win over the Saints. The Broncos face the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 9.

Fantasy Impact: Fantasy owners got a bit of a scare last weekend but that should be behind them heading into Week 9. Manning has been outstanding the last four games, throwing for more than 300 yards and three touchdowns in each of those contests.

Manning is a top-3 fantasy quarterback in Week 9 and will be near the top of the rankings the rest of the way.
