The Jets and the Jaguars have not held talks to discuss trading Tim Tebow despite rampant rumors, according to reports. We break down the fantasy implications.
Tim Tebow trade rumors have been making their way around the intersphere in the hours before Thursday's NFL trade deadline. The Jacksonville Jaguars, in particular, have been bandied about as a possible partner with the New York Jets, but according to reports, the two teams have not held discussions of any kind.
The rumors were sparked by a report from a Jacksonville reporter saying that the Jags were making a move to acquire the quarterback. Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey squashed the report Wednesday afternoon, however, saying hadn't even heard the rumors until after lunch.
Fantasy Impact: Barring the unexpected, Tebow will remain with the Jets for the foreseeable future. His fantasy value remains exactly as it has been throughout the season: Low. He isn't worth a roster spot in any format unless your league is so deep that you can afford to keep a Mark Sanchez handcuff.
