Anthony Gruppuso-US PRESSWIRE
Could the Giants top receiver be in danger of missing Week 9? We break down the fantasy implications.
Giants receiver Victor Cruz (calf) showed up on New York's injury report Wednesday and was limited in practice. This is the first news about any injury to the Giants leading receiver, and so far it seems doubtful that he would miss Sunday's game against the Patriots.
Cruz has 52 catches for 650 yards on the season.
Fantasy Take: The more you watch him play, the more it becomes obvious that Cruz is not a flash-in-the-pan receiver. He's on pace for fewer yards this season, but also for 104 catches and 14 touchdowns. He's in a great offense, with some great help around him, and has huge-play ability.
Without a doubt he's a WR1 every week and should be okay against a Steelers defense that has allowed 11 TDs through the air.
