New York Giants wide receiver Ramses Barden has not been cleared to practice after being diagnosed with a concussion. We break down the fantasy implications.
New York Giants wide receiver Ramses Barden (concussion) has still not been cleared to practice. Barden took a big hit late in Sunday's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles and has not been able to practice this week. Domenik Hixon is expected to start in place of Hakeem Nicks, who has already been ruled out for Sunday's game with the Cleveland Browns. If Barden is out, rookie Rueben Randle could move into the No. 3 receiver spot.
Fantasy Impact: The Giants are running thin at wide receiver now that Hicks has been ruled out, and it sure doesn't sound like Barden will be ready for Sunday either. Hixon is the better fantasy start over Barden or Randle, who may have something to prove after NBC analyst Cris Collinsworth said Sunday night that Randle's work ethic has "been questioned a bit with the Giants."
