Rams GM: Danny Amendola could play again this season; fantasy value now in question

Scott Rovak-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

St. Louis Rams wide receiver Danny Amendola could play again this season according to the team's general manager. We break down the fantasy implications.

St. Louis Rams wide receiver Danny Amendola doesn't appear to have a a broken clavicle and could play again this season, general manager Les Snead tells ESPN.com. Amendola hurt his right shoulder in the second quarter of Thursday night's win over the Arizona Cardinals trying to make a diving catch. He had one catch for 44 yards before being injured. The team is expected to know more about Amendola's injury on Friday.

Fantasy Impact: Fantasy owners will have to wait and see on Amendola, who had become a solid No. 2/3 fantasy wide receiver this season. Injuries have been a problem for him as he missed almost all of last season after dislocating his elbow in Week 1. If he's out for any amount of time, fantasy owners don't need to look on the Rams roster for a replacement because Amendola was the only one with any real fantasy value.
