The Carolina Panthers may be without two defensive starters on Sunday against Seattle. We break down the fantasy implications.
The Carolina Panthers may be without two defensive starters on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, as both linebacker Jon Beason and Chris Gamble are listed as doubtful. Beason has been slowed by a knee injury and Gamble has a hurt shoulder.
Fantasy Impact: The Panthers have struggled against the pass early in the season, most recently allowing Atlanta to throw for 369 yards. Seattle isn't as good as Atlanta passing the ball but Gamble's absence would still be a problem. Beason is probably Carolina's best defender and would help slow down Marshawn Lynch. Fantasy owners in IDP leagues should have a backup plan if they normally use Beason. The Panthers as a D/ST unit are not a viable fantasy option this week.
