It's reported that Aaron Hernandez likely will not play in week 5. We break down the fantasy implications.
New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez (ankle) is unlikely to play in week 5 according to Sal Paolantonio on ESPN. Hernandez has been listed as questionable this week and it looks like we are getting closer to him being listed as inactive as he tries to recover from the injury that has kept him out since week 2. The tight end has just six catches for 59 yards this season.
Fantasy Take: With news that Rob Gronkowski (hip) will likely play, this should boost his value just a little bit against the Broncos. However, it's worth noting that Gronkowski broke records last season playing with Hernandez by his side and the whole point of the Patriots offensive schemes is having both of those big weapons out there at the same time. This should keep Gronkowski as one of the top five options in fantasy football for the position, but Hernandez owners will likely have to wait at least one more week.
