Aaron Hernandez ruled inactive Sunday by Patriots: Fantasy implications

Greg M. Cooper-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

Aaron Hernandez is inactive for Sunday's game between the Patriots and the Broncos with an ankle injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Aaron Hernandez is inactive for Sunday's game between the New England Patriots and the Denver Broncos with an ankle injury suffered in Week 2 against the Arizona Cardinals. He was listed as questionable prior to the game after being a limited participant in practice throughout the week. Hernandez may return for the Pats in Week 6 against the Seattle Seahawks.

Fantasy Impact: This doesn't come as much of a surprise. Though the questionable designation suggested he was 50/50, reports throughout the week suggested that Hernandez was likely to sit. Owners patiently waiting for the tight end to return will want to check back next week. Teammate Rob Gronkowski was also listed questionable, but will play Sunday despite a hip injury.
