Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton had another quiet fantasy game, passing for only 140 yards and no touchdowns. He also rushed for 40 yards and lost a fumble. Newton has been hit-or-miss this season, but this dud was to be expected against a tough Seattle defense on the road. The Panthers will get a bye week next week to sort things out before taking on the Dallas Cowboys in Week 7.
Fantasy Impact: Cam Newton owners drafted him to be a reliable stud each and every week. He has not delivered on those expectations. Many have questioned Newton's attitude, but it's his on-field performance that has been lacking far too often this season. The bye week should do him some good - at least, his owners will certainly hope so.
