Percy Harvin will sit Sunday's game between the Vikings and the Lions due to an ankle injury. We break down the fantasy implications.
Percy Harvin will sit Sunday when the Minnesota Vikings host the Detroit Lions, according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports. Harvin was unable to practice Wednesday, Thursday or Friday due to a serious ankle injury suffered during last week's loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
Harvin was seen sporting a severe limp throughout the week, so his long-term status is still unclear at this point. He had scored a touchdown in three of the four games prior to last week's loss.
Fantasy Impact: Harvin was turning in a fine fantasy season prior to last week's injury. Luckily for him, next week's bye comes at a good time. We will revisit his status again in Week 12 when the Vikings play the Chicago Bears.
With Harvin out, Jerome Simpson and Michael Jenkins should see more targets in the passing game. Considering Christian Ponder's struggles of late, however, neither wideout is a very strong fantasy option this week.
