Stevie Johnson is active for Sunday's game between the Bills and the Patriots despite a thigh contusion. We break down the fantasy implications.
Stevie Johnson is active and expected to play Sunday when the Buffalo Bills visit the New England Patriots, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen. Johnson missed practice Wednesday with a thigh contusion, but was able to participate Thursday and Friday. He was listed as questionable heading into the weekend.
Johnson played through the injury last week against the Houston Texans, but was held to just three receptions for 29 yards off seven targets. It is unclear whether he will be limited at against the Pats.
Fantasy Impact: Johnson may still be playing hurt, but at least he has a much better matchup this week. The Pats are giving up 281 yards passing per game, and have surrendered 17 touchdown passes on the season. Johnson should see a fair number of targets, making him a worthwhile Flex/WR2 even if he's less than 100 percent.
Donald Jones and T.J. Graham could theoretically see more targets as a result of Johnson's injury, but neither has been a strong fantasy play this season.
