As expected, the Patriots tight end will not play against the Bills. We break down the fantasy implications.
Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez (ankle) is officially inactive for New England in Week 10 against the Bills. Earlier reports suggested that this was going to be the case after a week of limited practices. It seemed a possibility that Hernandez would be able to play after a bye week, but he's going to take at least one more week to rest.
Hernandez has 17 catches for 143 yards in four games.
Fantasy Take: The Hernandez disappointment train keeps chugging for fantasy owners. It's been a difficult season due to his injury, but this will bump up the possibility of red-zone targets for Rob Gronkowski, Wes Welker, and Brandon Lloyd.
Too bad for Hernandez owners, as the Bills are the 31st-ranked defense in the NFL.
