With their top two running backs out, the Raiders will have to turn to the end of their depth chart. We break down the fantasy implications.
Darren McFadden and Mike Goodson are officially inactive for the Raiders against the Ravens on Sunday. Both players suffered ankle injuries in Oakland's Week 9 loss to the Buccaneers. The team will turn to Taiwan Jones and Marcel Reece in the backfield.
The Raiders' run game has struggled this season, averaging just 3.6 yards per carry, but Jones has just one carry for two yards. Baltimore is ranked 28th against the run.
Fantasy Take: It's sort of a "go big or go home" situation with the Raiders backups, and it's also possible that Carson Palmer could throw it 60 times again. Reece has zero rushing yards this year but does have 26 catches for 272 yards. Jones may start out getting the carries, but if the Raiders fall behind early it wouldn't be surprising to see Oakland completely abandon the run game.
Jones and Reece both make risky flex plays in Week 10.
