Jeremy Brevard-US PRESSWIRE
The Saints won't have their versatile back against the Falcons, as expected. We break down the fantasy implications.
New Orleans Saints running back Darren Sproles (hand) is inactive on Sunday against the Falcons, as expected. Early reports after his hand surgery suggested that Sproles might be able to return after just one week off, but those have proven to be overly optimistic.
Sproles has 440 total yards through seven games, while also handling kick and punt returns.
Fantasy Take: Mark Ingram, Pierre Thomas and Chris Ivory will continue to split reps in Sproles' absence. Thomas likely has the highest value of the three, but it's difficult to assume that any of them will have value as they have combined for three touchdowns all season.
Sproles owners will have to wait until Week 11 against the Raiders to see if he returns.
