Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin was held in check by the San Diego Chargers in Tampa's 34-24 win.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin was kept out of the end zone in the Bucs' 34-24 win over the San Diego Chargers. Martin carried the ball 19 times for 68 yards and added three receptions for 51 yards.
Martin only averaged 3.6 yards per carry, but still managed a collective 119 yards between rushing and receiving.
Fantasy Impact: No one expected Martin to replicate his incredible game from Week 9 in which he rushed for 251 yards and four touchdowns against the Raiders, but being held without a touchdown has to be considered a disappointment.
Still, Martin got enough yards to put up a decent day and has shown that he belongs in the starting lineup every week. When 119 yards is considered a bit of slow day you are dealing with top-level running back, which is what Martin has become. He is a must start against the Carolina Panthers in Week 11.
