Carson Palmer racks up more fantasy points in losing effort

Carson Palmer threw for 368 yards and two TDs as the Raiders once again ignore the run game. We break down the fantasy implications.

Oakland Raiders QB Carson Palmer had another big day in the stat sheets. Against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 10, Palmer completed 29 of 45 yards for 368 yards, two TDs and one INT. With Darren McFadden and Mike Goodson both out, the Raiders essentially abandoned the run game again.

Another factor in the big passing numbers was that the Ravens took a huge lead early and stepped on Oakland's neck, winning 55-20.

Fantasy Impact: Palmer is probably a better fantasy QB than real-world QB. He's combined for 782 yards the past two games, yet the Raiders are 0-2 thanks to an atrocious defense.

Oakland takes on the Saints and their "vaunted" pass defense in Week 11, so Palmer has a great fantasy matchup there. I highly recommend starting him.
