San Diego Chargers wide receiver Danario Alexander had a big day and might be a waiver wire pickup in fantasy leagues.
San Diego Chargers wide receiver Danario Alexander had a big day in the Chargers 34-24 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Alexander had five receptions for 134 yards and a touchdown.
The Chargers signed Alexander on Oct. 22 and he is starting to find his spot in the San Diego offense. Philip Rivers found Alexander early on Sunday, with the two connecting for an 80-yard touchdown on the third play of the game.
Fantasy Impact: Alexander got most of his yards from the 80-yard touchdown, but still was among the Chargers leaders with seven targets. Last week Alexander got his first catch with the Chargers, but he now appears to be one of their top two wide receivers along with Malcom Floyd.
At 6'5 there is hope that Alexander can become the replacement for Vincent Jackson and put up similar numbers. Alexander is likely available in most leagues and could be worth picking up if you are looking for depth at wide receiver.
