Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Josh Freeman put up solid fantasy numbers despite only throwing 20 passes.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Josh Freeman had a decent fantasy football day as he led the Bucs to a 34-24 win over the San Diego Chargers. Freeman was an efficient 14-for-20 with 210 yards and two touchdowns.
Freeman completed his first touchdown pass to Dallas Clark in the first quarter and found Tiquan Underwood in the end zone in the third quarter. Freeman was limited to only 20 passes as the Bucs got the rest of their scoring from their defense and special teams.
Fantasy Impact: Freeman has been playing very well for the Bucs over the last few weeks. Sunday marked the fourth straight game in which Freeman has thrown for at least two touchdowns without an interception.
Tampa only had the ball for 23 minutes, limiting the numbers Freeman could put up, but he is a good bet for two touchdowns and at least 200 yards every week at this point. He isn't a surefire fantasy starter yet, but he is certainly a more than capable backup.
