Antonio Gates helps fantasy worth with Week 10 touchdown

Al Messerschmidt

San Diego Chargers tight end Antonio Gates scored a TD in Week 10. We breakdown the fantasy implications.

San Diego Chargers tight end Antonio Gates had a pretty solid performance in Week 10. In Sunday's game versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Gates reeled in four balls for 57 yards and a touchdown. Unfortunately, the score was futile, as Gates and the Chargers fell to the Buccaneers.

However, it is always good to see Antonio Gates active in the Chargers offense. For years, he has been a big-time threat for San Diego, and this late in his career, he is still a factor.

Fantasy Analysis: Gates is one of the few top-tier tight ends in this league. He paved the way for the Vernon Davis' and Jimmy Grahams, and well into his 30's, Gates is still playing at a high level. Antonio Gates is a player you'd like to have in your lineup week-to-week.

He is a threat to be the leading receiver for San Diego on any given Sunday. Gates is a big target and sure-handed, pass-catching tight end. He is a must-start at the position because of his ceiling.
