Andre Johnson quiet for fantasy owners in Texans' rainy win

Thomas Campbell-US PRESSWIRE

Andre Johnson had four receptions for 35 yards during the Texans' win over the Bears on Sunday night. We break down the fantasy implications.

Andre Johnson had four receptions for 35 yards during the Houston Texans' win over the Chicago Bears in the rain on Sunday Night Football. Johnson led all Texans receivers with nine targets. Kevin Walter was the Texans' second leading receiver with two receptions for 30 yards off three targets.

Johnson's peformance was somehow only his third-worst of the season. He only had 21 yards receiving in Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars and 15 yards in Week 5 against the New York Giants.

Fantasy Impact: Johnson did nothing for fantasy owners, but he deserves some slack considering the wind and the rain. Matt Schaub mustered just 95 yards passing on the day, and the Bears had just 134 yards passing between Jay Cutler and Jason Campbell.

Johnson struggled mightily in his first appearance against the Jags this season, but fantasy owners should still look at next week's game as a solid matchup for the veteran wide receiver. The Jags are giving up 252 yards passing per game.
