Hakeem Nicks had nine receptions for 75 yards during the Giants' loss to the Bengals on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Hakeem Nicks had nine receptions for 75 yards during the New York Giants' loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. Nicks was targeted 14 times to lead all Giants receivers. Victor Cruz was targeted just four times, and finished the game with three receptions for 26 yards.

Nicks had his best outing since catching 10 passes for 199 yards and a touchdown in Week 2 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He has yet to catch a touchdown since that outing. Cruz registered a season low in catches, yards and targets.

Fantasy Impact: Fantasy owners had to be happy to see Nicks perform somewhat like an elite receiver, even if it still paled to his incredible Week 2 outing. Nicks was the featured performer in the passing game. If Eli Manning can figure out his problems during the team's Week 11 bye, Nicks could return to WR1 form in time for your playoffs.

As for Cruz, his lack of involvement was bizarre and should be considered an outlier for now. Unless news comes out that he was/is injured, he should be safe to leave in your starting lineup going forward. Cruz has been one of the most consistent fantasy wideouts in the league since the season began.
