Fantasy Football PPR Target Report, Week 10: Tight Ends

Chris Graythen

It was a huge week for the top tight ends. Check out which tight ends were targeted the most in the PPR Target Report for Week 10.

Tight ends dominated the scoring in several games this week, with Atlanta Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez, Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olson and New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham scoring two touchdowns apiece. Other tight ends scoring a touchdown were Antonio Gates, Scott Chandler, Dallas Clark, and Rob Gronkowski, among others.

Gonzalez finally found the end zone in Week 10 after getting shut out since Week 6. Saints tight end Jimmy Graham and New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski also scored touchdowns on Sunday, and are proving that they, along with Tony Gonzalez, are the best tight ends in the NFL once again in 2012.

Let's take a look at the tight ends who were targeted the most in Week 10:

Hitting the Bullseye

Tony Gonzalez, ATL

Gonzalez was a favorite target of quarterback Matt Ryan on Sunday, catching 11 of his 15 targets for 122 yards and two touchdowns against the Saints. Gonzalez caught touchdowns of two and six yards to bring his touchdown total to six for the season. He has caught 61 of his 79 targets for 617 yards and six touchdowns this season.

Jimmy Graham, NO

Graham caught seven of his eight targets for 146 yards and two touchdowns against the Falcons on Sunday. His touchdowns went for 14 and 29 yards and helped the Saints hand the Falcons their first loss of the season. He now has 45 receptions on 71 targets for 533 yards and seven touchdowns this season.

Greg Olsen, CAR

Olson caught nine of his 10 targets from quarterback Cam Newton for 101 yards and two touchdowns in the Panthers' 36-14 loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday. Olson scored on plays of four and five yards, and has now caught 43 of his 63 targets for 496 yards and three touchdowns on the season.

Missing the Target

Vernon Davis, SF

Davis was targeted just five times between Alex Smith and Colin Kaepernick, catching four passes for 30 yards against the St. Louis on Sunday. Since scoring four touchdowns in the first three weeks of the season, Davis has been targeted just 21 times in the last six games, including one game where he received zero targets. It appears that the San Francisco 49ers have taken him out of their offensive game plan.
