Emmanuel Sanders had just two catches for 30 yards off seven targets during the Steelers' win over the Chiefs on Monday Night Football. We break down the fantasy implications.
Emmanuel Sanders had just two receptions for 30 yards to help the Pittsburgh Steelers defeat the Kansas City Chiefs in overtime on Monday Night Football. Sanders, starting in place of the injured Antonio Brown, was targeted seven times on the night.
Sanders was targeted more just once this season. In the season opener against the Denver Broncos, he was targeted eight times and managed four receptions for 55 yards. Sanders has yet to catch more than four passes in any game this season.
Fantasy Impact: Sanders turned in a disappointing performance for fantasy owners who saw big sleeper potential against a bad Chiefs defense. Unfortunately, bad weather and a Ben Roethlisberger injury were difficult to foresee. Don't dump Sanders just yet. If Brown is out again next week, Sanders could see a large number of targets again, except under hopefully better circumstances.
