Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown (ankle) said he will try and practice on Friday. We break down the fantasy implications.
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown said Wednesday that he will try and practice on Friday. Brown missed Monday night's overtime win over the Kansas City Chiefs because of an ankle injury. Brown still has a lot of swelling on the front and side of the ankle, according to Mark Kaboly of The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
The Steelers have already said quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will miss this weekend's game against the Baltimore Ravens. Emmanuel Sanders would again be Pittsburgh's No. 2 receiver if Brown can't play in Week 11.
Fantasy Impact: Pittsburgh's passing game won't be the same in Week 11 no matter what happens with Brown. Fantasy owners will have to monitor injury reports as the week goes along but should not be counting on Brown this weekend.
If Brown doesn't play, Sanders would be a low-end No. 3 receiver or long-shot flex play this weekend because Byron Leftwich is starting at quarterback for the Steelers.
