Frank Gore has ribs X-rayed this week: Fantasy Implications

Brian Bahr

San Francisco 49ers running back Frank Gore had a rib X-ray this week. We breakdown the fantasy implications.

San Francisco 49ers running back Frank Gore reportedly underwent rib X-rays this week, per Matt Barrows. This injury stems back to the game versus the Seattle Seahawks on October 18th. Gore has since played and should not be a risk to miss any time.

The 49ers will play the Bears on Monday Night Football, in which Gore is expected to be active. As a central figure in their offense, expect for him to be a factor on primetime.

Fantasy Analysis: Frank Gore has been a tremendous pickup this year for fantasy players, especially in a season where most were expecting a decline. Gore has been an efficient runner for the Niners this season. When he does well, the entire team does well.

Jim Harbaugh and offensive coordinator Greg Roman lean on Gore to get this offense going on game day. He is a threat to lead the team in yardage, as well as find the end zone. Frank Gore continues to be a solid RB1 in fantasy leagues.
