Jeff Curry-US PRESSWIRE
St. Louis Rams wide receiver Danny Amendola said this week he would be OK with the franchise tag. We break down the fantasy implications.
Wide receiver Danny Amendola said this week that he would be the Rams placing the franchise tag on him because he wants to stay in St. Louis. Amendola told Pro Football Talk that he understands there is a business aspect but said that he has everything he wants in St. Louis.
Amendola has battled injuries in his time with the Rams, including a shoulder injury this season that forced him to miss several games. On Sunday, he had 11 catches for 102 yards in the tie with the San Francisco 49ers. The Rams face the New York Jets in Week 11.
Fantasy Impact: The Rams would be wise to keep Amendola, who has become the go-to receiver for Sam Bradford in the offense. For fantasy owners, Amendola has been a valuable commodity and should be again in Week 11.
Amendola is a high-end No. 2 fantasy wide receiver this week.
