Jake Roth-US PRESSWIRE
The lack of production from Jennings highlights how talented MJD really is. We break down the fantasy implications.
Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew is inactive in Week 11, making five straight games missed for the leading rusher in 2011. Jones-Drew has been hampered by a foot injury suffered in Week 6 and was averaging 4.8 yards per carry when he went down. If only Rashad Jennings could do so well.
The backup to Jones-Drew, Jennings is running for just a hair under 3.00 yards per carry this season. He has scored one touchdown on the year and has seen his carries go down each week for the 1-8 Jaguars.
Fantasy Take: It was a nice idea to start Jennings in your fantasy league when MJD went down. After all, it's only natural to assume that the player that takes the place of a successful player could also have some success. Now we see a bit more insight into how amazing it was for MJD to lead the league in rushing last year by this offensive line.
Jennings isn't in a great situation, isn't MJD and is facing the Houston Texans' defense on Sunday. Find another option, if possible. At best he is a flex play.
