Debby Wong-US PRESSWIRE
Two touchdowns for the backup running back keeps fewer points on the board in fantasy leagues.
It's doubtful that many people started Jets' backup running back Bilal Powell in their fantasy leagues today with Shonn Greene healthy and starting. It's probable that some fantasy owners starting Greene threw something against a wall in their house today. It's questionable if Powell will have any fantasy value moving forward.
Powell scored on runs of five and eleven yards in the fourth quarter and has nine carries for 37 yards so far. Greene has carried the ball 18 times for 64 yards and no touchdowns as the Jets look to run down the clock and secure a victory over the St. Louis Rams.
The touchdowns are the first two of the year for Powell, who had 138 yards on 35 carries coming into the game. Greene is the unquestioned main back for the Jets, carrying the ball a little less than five times as often as anyone else for the team, but gave way to Powell for critical fourth quarter carries deep in Rams' territory.
This could seriously complicate Greene's value for the stretch run.
