"Yeah, I don't know how I did it either" - Dilip Vishwanat
To the shock of the league, Mark Sanchez had a good game in Week 11. We break down the fantasy implications.
New York Jets QB Mark Sanchez continues to confound people--this time by actually being good. Against the St. Lousi Rams in Week 11, Sanchez completed 15 of 20 passes for 178 yards and one TD, good for a nifty 118.3 QB Rating. He took advantage of a Rams turnover to lob a pretty 25-yard rainbow to Chaz Schillens. That proved to be enough, as the Jets wore down the Rams 27-7.
Fantasy Impact: Sanchez' 8.9 YPA was his highest since shredding the Bills in the season opener (remember when we thought Buffalo had a good defense?).
It was a nice performance, but be reminded that the Rams are still in rebuild mode. Sanchez and the Jets will take on the Patriots on Thanksgiving night, and I still can't recommend starting him in fantasy.
