Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning had a strong first half against the San Diego Chargers, throwing for two touchdowns.
Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning threw for two touchdown in the first half as the Broncos lead the Chargers 17-7 at the half. Manning is 16-for-27 for 164 yards with the two TDs and one interception. Even Manning's interception was a touchdown, as Eric Weddle returned it for a score for the Chargers.
The pick six put the Chargers up 7-0, but Manning threw two touchdowns in the second quarter to give the Broncos the lead. He hit Demaryius Thomas for a 13-yard score early in the quarter and found Brandon Stokley for a 31-yard score in the final two minutes of the half.
Manning has gotten off to some slow starts this season and has yet to throw four touchdowns in a game with the Broncos, but with the first half he had against the Chargers it is possible he could reach that mark. Last time the Broncos played the Chargers, Manning threw all three of his touchdown passes in the second half.
