Ryan Mathews giving fantasy owners little value

San Diego Chargers running back Ryan Mathews has been bottled up by the Denver Broncos defense.

San Diego Chargers running back Ryan Mathews has been stuffed by the Denver Broncos defense as the Chargers trail 17-9. Mathews has just 44 yards on 13 carries with two receptions for 12 yards.

With the Chargers offense producing less than 100 total yards on the day, no one in the San Diego offense has been impressive. Mathews struggled mightily in the first half as did the entire offense. An 11 yard rush in the third quarter improved his numbers slightly.

Mathews has not been a fantasy stud by any means this season, but is struggling more than he has most weeks against the Broncos. Last week he rushed 17 times for 54 yards against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a similarly unimpressive yards per carry.

With the Baltimore Ravens on the schedule for Week 12, things don't look like they'll get a whole lot easier for Mathews any time soon.
