Kansas City chiefs wide receiver Dwyane Bowe injured his neck in the second quarter and did not return. We break down the fantasy implications.
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe left the game in the second quarter with a neck injury and did not return. Bowe had no receptions in the game and the Chiefs lost to the Cincinnati Bengals, 28-6.
Bowe landed hard on the ground after dropping a pass. Afterwards he was checked by trainers before being sent to the locker room. He later returned to the sidelines, but was done for the day. Bowe was targeted twice, but had no receptions.
Fantasy Impact: There is no word yet on the extent of Bowe's injury, but obviously this is not good for fantasy owners. First, Bowe got no points today, but he could also be sidelined in the future. It didn't appear to be anything major, but he didn't return to the game so we will have to wait and see.
Bowe is the Chiefs top receiving target when he is healthy. He is limited because of the offense he plays in, but is a decent option if his neck is okay.
