Charles LeClaire-US PRESSWIRE
Pittsburgh Steelers Rashard Mendenhall is active for Sunday night's game against the Baltimore Ravens. We break down the fantasy implications.
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Rashard Mendenall will return to the Pittsburgh Steelers lineup on Sunday night as he is officially active for Pittsburgh's game against the Baltimore Ravens. Mendenhall has missed the Steelers last four games with an Achilles injury, but practiced all week and was expected to play against the Ravens.
Mendenhall has only appeared in two games this season, missing the first three due to offseason knee surgery and the last four because of the Achilles. In his two outings he has just 19 carries for 74 yards and four receptions for 44 yards and a touchdown.
Fantasy Impact: It is good to see Mendenhall back on the field, but he has a crowded Steelers backfield to work with. Jonathan Dwyer and Isaac Redman are also both healthy, making this the first game of the season that Pittsburgh has had all three running backs active.
It will be interesting to see how the Steelers work Mendenhall back into the mix as he returns to the field.
