Steelers inactive report: Ben Roethlisberger may return in time for fantasy playoffs

Charles LeClaire-US PRESSWIRE

Ben Roethlisberger is inactive for SNF and hopes to return in about three weeks. We break down the fantasy implications.

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (ribs, shoulder) is officially inactive for Sunday Night Football against the Baltimore Ravens. This news should come as no surprise after Ben suffered a scary, life-threatening rib injury against the Chiefs last week. So far, the best-case scenario for his return is about three weeks.

Byron Leftwich will be getting the start tonight and for the foreseeable future.

Fantasy Impact: Fantasy owners shouldn't drop Big Ben yet. He's tough as nails and would probably be suiting up if the injury wasn't life-threatening. If the optimistic timetable holds true, Ben will be back in time for your fantasy playoffs. We'll keep monitoring the situation.

Byron Leftwich is not a fantasy option, in case you were wondering.
