Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy suffered a concussion against the Washington Redskins. We break down the fantasy implications.
Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy suffered a concussion after a helmet-to-helmet hit late in the fourth quarter against the Washington Redskins. McCoy was carted off the field and did not return to the game.
Prior to the concussion, McCoy carried the ball 15 times for 45 yards and caught six passes for 67 yards in the Eagles 31-6 loss. There is no word on the severity of his concussion.
Fantasy Impact: This is obviously bad news for the Eagles and fantasy owners. McCoy has been the Eagles best player this season; he entered the game with 705 yards rushing, 168 yards receiving and five total touchdowns.
As we've seen throughout this season, concussions can have wildly different recovery timelines. Some players are able to play the following week, while other miss significant chunks of time. We hope McCoy comes out okay and is able to go in Week 12 against the Carolina Panthers.
